CLEANSE, CHARGE + CARE FOR YOUR TALISMANS

the fifth element life talismans

EMPOWERING YOUR TALISMAN

Upon receipt of your mandala talisman, crystals, pyramid + sacred items from TFEL, please take a moment to connect with the item/s + instil their personal message within. Tell them what they represent to you, how they will act as your constant reminder of this representation + empower them with your own energy to bring this manifestation to life. Set them in a place where they will be seen daily (if not wearing it, of course!) so you can be consciously and subconsciously reminded of this personal message.

To really empower yourself through these manifestations and desires, setting little personal rituals at both the full + new moon each month is a really powerful way to take things up a notch and use the sacred symbolism and cycles of the moon and of your feminine flow to your advantage.

CARING FOR YOUR MANDALA TALISMANS

ENERGETIC CLEANSING:

Smoke smudge with sage or palo santo or other favourite dried herb
Place onto clear quartz crystal
Bathe under full moon light

ABOUT OUR .925 STERLING SILVER:

Real 925 sterling silver jewelry consists of 92.5 percent pure silver and the rest is comprised of other kinds of metal (which allows for it to become more malleable and softer to wear) - these small traces of other metals are usually copper. Our rings do not contain any nickel.
925 sterling silver jewelry typically has markings/stamps on it to indicate its purity. These marks include "925", ".925" or "S925", to represent the 92.5 percent pure silver that exists. Ours all have .925 on the inside of our rings, and on the back of our pendants.

CARING FOR YOUR STERLING SILVER TALISMANS:
Wear regularly to avoid tarnishing from air and humidity exposure while in storage
Avoid contact with household chemicals, persperation, chlorinated water, rubber, lotions, cosmetics, perfumes or some acidic essential oils. Anything that contains sulfur will cause corrosion and tarnish your talisman - this includes exposure to wool, latex, onions, eggs, mayonnaise.
Only use the black polishing cloth enclosed in your tin to brighten up or clean your talisman - polish with long back and forth motion for best result.
Avoid silver cleaning products and chemicals as this item contains oxidized areas (the blackened areas) and this will remove this entirely.

ABOUT 18K ROSE + YELLOW GOLD PLATED STERLING SILVER:
Gold plated jewellery is a more affordable way to wear the metal finish you feel most drawn to!
Our jewellery is all based on .925 sterling silver, with our rose and yellow gold items being offered as a coating over our original sterling silver jewellery. This thin layer of 18k gold allows for you to have one of our talismans in gold, without having to pay thousands of dollars for a solid version due to the weight and size of our talismans.
Please note, this does, unfortunately, mean that this item will wear differently to our sterling silver options. Gold plating does eventually wear off, depending on how frequently you wear your item and of course how much it comes into contact with. For examples, rings may wear faster compared to pendants due to the more constant contact they come into in your day to day life.
As gold plating it is a thin layer of gold, extra care should be taken to maximize its lifespan.

CARING FOR YOUR GOLD TALISMANS:
Do not spray on perfume or other sprays while wearing your gold plated jewellery. Wear your jewellery after you have sprayed on your favourite perfume so that chemicals on the spray or perfume does not interact with your jewellery’s metal.
Wait until your lotion or cream is dry or has been absorbed by your skin before you wear your gold plated ring or necklace.
Substances like oil, many essential oils, nail polish, nail polish remover, chlorine, perfume and the like may react with metal/plated jewellery and will cause it to tarnish easily. This also goes with sweat, so make sure you don’t forget to remove your gold plated jewellery when you exercise or anything that would require heavy physical work. Please do not wear this item in water, particularly swimming pools.
After use, clean your plated jewellery with a cotton ball or a very soft cloth to remove any dust and dirt it has acquired. Gently rubbing the surface of your gold plated jewellery using the soft jewellery cloth included in your original TFEL packaging will also help restore shine.
If your jewellery needs more cleaning you may clean it with warm, soapy water. Soak it for a few minutes and you may clean it with a soft brush. Stay away from jewellery cleaners and antibacterial soaps which may have certain components that will just make your gold plated jewellery tarnish more quickly.
To avoid scratches, wrap your jewellery in a soft cloth after cleaning or keep it in a jewellery box separate from other types of jewellery you have.

IF AND WHEN YOUR GOLD PLATED TALISMAN DOES EVENTUALLY WEAR DOWN TO THE SILVER...
If your item does eventually wear down to its original sterling silver base, you are able to get this item recoated through a local jeweler. We, unfortunately, do not offer this service currently but this can be done quite affordably through a reputable jeweler in your local area.
